Learning all the time….

Long time no update – I’ve just learnt something – the hard way…

And this is to help any of you who are in the process of building a blog and intending on using it for referring your visitors to third party sites. It’s not acceptable, especially if you cloak the URL apparently – just been reading up about ‘black hat tricks’. I didn’t know I was doing that!!

Best policy is to be totally transparent about everything you do…

The internet has its own etiquet and codes of practice so it’s wise to check what you’re doing is ok with someone who knows their stuff on the net.

I was really upset to find that my blog had been deactivated and now I know why I shalln’t be doing that again, mark my words.

So bottom line is – if you’re tempted to use your site to promote third party sites – don’t do it.

It’s ok to promote you’re own stuff so I guess the best thing to do is put together your own product. It’s realtively easy to do. I found some good videos on You Tube that helped me.

Keep smiling – keep learning and above all keep trying…you’ll get there in the end.

All of a sudden…

All of a sudden its finally sunk in…

What Alex Jeffreys has been teaching his students is to simplify the process by actually taking action and doing it one bite at a time.

I used to be a bit baffled by all that SEO and PPC stuff – now I know I don’t have to get too concerned about it right now. Yeh I’ll learn about it when the time’s right, but thats not now.

It’s all about focus and taking action.

Know what to do first then do it.

Imagine that you are standing in a long corridor with doors either side and behind each door there is an instruction that you must do before you can open the next door.

One small step at a time. That’s it…

The other thing thats suddenly clicked is the 4 key steps that are fundemental to starting your own successful online business.

Step 1 – find a group of people with a common interest

Step 2 – find them some useful information they would be interested in

Step 3 – tell them about it

Step 4 – let them buy it from you or better still give it to them

What I’m going to do is start writing 4 useful reports to get you started – all written from my experiences in starting my business and based on the 4 steps above.

Well have I been busy…

So much to learn!..

When you actually start doing something constructive with

internet marketing doesn’t it seem there is so much to learn?

And I say ‘constructive’ because I can hold my hand up

and honestly say while I’ve looked at this opportunity for

years I have never really made any progress – mainly

because I haven’t done anything.

Until I decided to join Alex Jeffreys Coaching program

that is…. now I’ve got my domain name, started a blog

and will be setting up Aweber, Google Analytics, Pay Pal

and lots more by the end of this week. I’ve even got a

product now, again thanks to Alex.

In the next few days I’ll be updating my blog with

my latest developments.
